Lester L. Sanders is the Chief Strategic Manager, Midwest Region of the Urban Leadership Institute, LLC. He is nationally recognized for his expertise in urban youth development. A sought after speaker, youth communicator and advocate for youth, Lester has over 8 years of hands on practical experience working with urban youth through local, national and international organizations. He has worked with thousands of youth in schools, churches, communities and detention centers throughout the United States.
Lester has conducted hundreds of youth empowerment talks and workshops, targeted toward youth, ages 12-18 and young adults, ages 18-24 in urban communities. Due to the overwhelming response from the community, he created lestersanders.com in 2003 and has been conducting seminars and workshops designed to inspire and empower young people, as well as motivate and inspire the professionals who work with them.
Lester is a graduate of Kent State University, where he received his Bachelors of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice, focusing his studies on prevention in the Juvenile Justice System and Youth Development. He is also a Licensed and Ordained Associate Minster at the Union Baptist Church in Canton, Ohio. Lester and his wife LaTrese reside in their home town of Canton, Ohio, the home of ULI’s Midwest Office. |
