LaMarr Darnell Shields is a teacher, youth advocate, and the President and Co-Founder of the Urban Leadership Institute. Every day Mr. Shields hears about, or is in contact with, young people who are doing “amazing” things for the benefit of their country and communities. Now, in partnership with 92Q’s Big Phat Morning Show, he wants to celebrate these achievements through some fantastic new awards.
Adolescents and young adults are often stereotyped negatively, but there are so many young people in this country doing remarkable things that it is time they finally get the recognition they truly deserve. Every Friday at 9:00 a.m., on Baltimore ’s most popular morning show, The Big Phat Morning Show, La Marr Darnell Shields will recognize the “amazing” things that ordinary young people throughout Maryland are doing, through what he calls Amazing Youth.Winners will appear on The Big Phat Morning Show with LaMarr Darnell Shields.
